Based on the various decisions of the Greek Government regarding the management of its borders within the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Embassy of Portugal appeals to the reading of the current measures in force enacted by the local authorities, and subsequent compliance with the following recommendations:

The Greek Government determined that all travelers who wish to travel to Greece must complete the Passenger Location Form (PLF) which is available on the platform https://travel.gov.gr.

All travelers are required to complete and submit their PLF at least 24 hours in advance before entering the country. They must provide detailed information about their starting point, the duration of their previous stays in other countries, and the address of their stay in Greece.

All passengers coming from our country must be prepared for random tests upon arrival.

Requirements to travelers for entering Greece (also applicable to children over twelve):

- Ban on entering Greece for citizens from countries that do not belong to the EU or Schengen area, except passengers and permanent residents of the following countries: Albania, Andorra, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brunei, Canada, China, South Korea, USA, UAE, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Lebanon, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Qatar, United Kingdom, Russia, San Marino, Holy See, Serbia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and the Vatican.

- Mandatory filing of the Passenger Location Form (PLF) by all passengers who want to travel to Greece, through the website https://travel.gov.gr.

- Presentation of a COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate (of the two doses if applicable), issued by a public entity in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian; the certificate must include first and last name (as written in the passport), type of vaccine, number of doses and dates of administration; the trip can only take place 14 days after the administration of the last dose, or

- With the presentation of a COVID-19 PCR negative test in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian, performed 72 hours before arrival in Greece; or

Presentation of rapid antigen test, in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian; or

Presentation of a certificate issued by a public entity confirming that the traveler fell ill and recovered from COVID-19 in the last nine months of the date indicated in the certificate.

All passengers coming from abroad will be randomly subjected to the COVID-19 test upon arrival, based on the procedures provided by the PLF.

In the case of health monitoring, the traveler will have to be self-isolated at the place/address of the final destination in Greece (indicated in the PLF), awaiting the result of the clinical analysis. If the person tests positive, the passenger must remain in quarantine for 14 days under the supervision of the Greek authorities; if the results come back negative, then the traveler will be able to proceed with the travel plan.

On domestic trips to and from the islands, the following documents will always be required:

- Presentation of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate (of the two doses if applicable), issued by a public entity in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian; the certificate must include first and last name (as written in the passport), type of vaccine, number of doses and dates of administration; the trip can only take place 14 days after administration of the last dose, or

Presentation of COVID-19 PCR negative test in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Russian, performed 72 hours before arrival in Greece; or

Presentation of rapid antigen test, in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian.

For trips to and between islands, it is recommended to arrive at the departure port at least one prior to the departure.

The Greek Government has also decided to make it mandatory for all citizens who are not vaccinated to submit a rapid antigen test or a negative self-test when embarking from the islands to the mainland.

Access to indoor spaces such as museums, restaurants, shops (except supermarkets and pharmacies) is only possible through the presentation of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or recovery certificate issued less than 6 months ago.

Bear in mind that, due to the volatility of the situation, the rules for entering the country might change without prior notice, and, if the epidemiological situation becomes worse, possible restrictions on circulation in Greece cannot be excluded.
