The Embassy of Portugal is pleased to invite the Portuguese Community, the Diplomatic Missions, and the friends of Portugal in Greece to attend a commemorative event for Amália Rodrigues. This event will be held on November 12, 7.30 p.m. at the Greek Cinematheque (Iera Odos 48 – Metro Kerameikos), with the support of Instituto Camões.
The event will include the screening of the film "Amália" (Carlos Coelho da Silva, 2008), that shows the life of the artist, followed by a short concert with songs by Amália, and performed by the Greek artists Eva Thomopoulou (voice) and Pavlos Grapsas (guitar). A port of honor will be served at the end of the performance.
Participation is free, however, a previous reservation until November 11 is mandatory. You must send an email to ana.abreu@mne.pt, indicating the names of the interested, as well as a telephone number.
Bearing in mind that this is a Covid Free event, and according to the rules of the Greek Government, we inform you that it is necessary to present the Digital Certificate of Vaccination/Recovery of each participant and the respective identity document. We also remind you that the use of the mask will be mandatory during the whole event.
